Actor Amitabh Bachchan receives first dose of Coronavirus vaccine

Megastar and Shehanshah of bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan on Friday has received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

According to the official reports, the 78-year-old actor revealed that all the members of his family, except his son Abhishek Bachchan, have received the dose of coronavirus vaccine.
He remarked, “Vaccination done… All well… Did COVID test for family and staff yesterday… results came today… All good, all negative… So done the vaccine,” Amitabh Bachchan wrote. “All family done except Abhishek .. He be on location and shall do it on return soon in a few days.”

The actor also posted a picture of him receiving the vaccine at a vaccination centre.
Abhishek Bachchan has been filming for his upcoming movie ‘Dasvi’ in Agra. He just completed the shooting on Thursday.

He called the vaccination process ‘historic’ and said he will later on pen a longer blog post about it.

He said, “The entire process of taking the vaccine requires a detailed exclusive blog…shall do so…later…it was historic”.

Last year, Amitabh Bachchan and his family members, Abhishek Bachchan- his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and daughter Aaradhya  Bachchan tested positive for COVID-19.
Many film celebrities such as Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Dharmendra, Sharmila Tagore, Hema Malini, Jeetendra, Kamal Haasan, Rohit Shetty, Neena Gupta, Rakesh Roshan, and Johny Lever got vaccinated before him.

As per the announcement made by centre, people above 45 years of age would be eligible to get Coronavirus vaccine from 1st April.
