Since India has geared up in the next phase of the COVID-19 vaccination drive for people,

The vaccination for such age groups will initiate from March 1st, 2021.
The authorities have upgraded the Co-WIN, to an enhanced version- CoWIN 2.0, which was used in two phases of the vaccination for the vaccination of frontline and healthcare workers previously.
The citizens could be registering to book an appointment for vaccination, anytime and anywhere using COWIN 2.0 portal or through other IT applications like Arogya Setu, etc, as mentioned by government officials.
The government has issued a guidance note for Co-WIN 2.0 portal; it states that the schedule of COVID-19 vaccination of eligible beneficiaries is linked closely with the availability of vaccine doses.
This ongoing COVID-19 vaccination drive will reach 27 crore people who are on the priority list after frontline and healthcare workers.
Almost 10,000 hospitals empanelled under Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY and 687 hospitals under CGHS may be used by the states as Covid Vaccination Centres (CVCs). The states are also provided with the freedom to make use of all Private Hospitals that are empanelled under State Government Health Insurance Schemes as CVCs.

- Register yourself and others (4 people maximum) using your Mobile or Aadhaar number or any other identity documents
- Choose the vaccination centre of your choice
- As per your convenience, schedule date for vaccination from available slots at the centre of your convenience
- Get yourself vaccinated from the selected centre on the scheduled date

In the second phase of COVID-19 vaccine, who is eligible to apply?
People above 60 years of age and those over 45 years of age with comorbidities can register themselves on the Co-WIN platform from March 1st, 2021 at 9 am.
Will there be any walk-in provision?
To get registered at the session sites, there will be a walking provision for the beneficiaries.
Will the vaccine be free of charge at government facilities?
Vaccination will be free of charge at the government health facilities and at private health facilities, it will be on a payment basis. However, the private hospitals can only charge Rs 150 for vaccines and Rs 100 for service charges mandated by the Central Government on Saturday.
What will be the procedure for bookings?
The Co-WIN portal will provide the facility for appointment booking, in case of self-registration. This appointment will be provided at such centres declared by State/UTs mentioning the location and dates on which appointment slots will be given.
Will I be given the option to choose government or private health facilities?
This new version of the Co-WIN platform will be GPS enabled, and the beneficiaries may choose the inoculation session site both at private and government health facilities.
Will I get any helper for registration if I am not tech-savvy?
When you move for walk-in registration, there will be volunteers to assist you with the process, if you are not tech-savvy.
Can I get the vaccine if I am not in my home state?
The beneficiary of Co-WIN may also choose to get inoculated in a state different from their home state.
Do people with comorbidities have to show any proof?
Yes, people aging above 45 years must upload a medical certificate that mentions their comorbid situation. The government has not yet specified the conditions that would be involved in the over-45 year age group with comorbidities.
How may I register on the Co-WIN portal?
The beneficiary is required to register with his mobile number, and he will receive an OTP with that OTP his account will be created. One may also get their family members registered on the account.
Can I register from Aarogya Setu only or other apps also?
Co-WIN can take registrations and appointments from distinct apps that include Aarogya Setu or any other application like a common service app.
