South Superstar Kamal Haasan Receives First Shot of COVID-19 Vaccine

South superstar and Makkal Needhi Maiam President Kamal Haasan has received the first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine at Chennai. This information was confirmed by Kamal Haasan himself on social media. He said that getting the COVID-19 vaccine will not only prevent him from corona but also others.

The founder of Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), Kamal Haasan administered with the COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday at City hospital. He was vaccinated the day after the nationwide vaccination of 60+ age group and people who aged 45-59 with co-morbidities was started, with PM Narendra Modi receiving the first dose of COVID-19 on Monday.

After receiving the vaccine, Kamal Haasan Tweeted,

“இன்று தேசிய தொழிலாளர்கள் பாதுகாப்பு தினம்.போராடிப் பெற்ற உலகளாவிய உரிமையான 8 மணி நேர வேலை என்பது இந்தியாவில் கேள்விக்குள்ளாகியிருக்கிறது. உழைக்கும் இடத்தில் பாதுகாப்பு தொடங்கி, வேலை உத்தரவாதம் வரைக்கும் பாதுகாப்பற்ற நிலை நீடிக்கிறது. இந்நிலை தொடரலாகாது.”

“I was vaccinated against Coronavirus at Sri Ramachandra Hospital. Those who care not only for themselves but also for others should put up with it. Immunization of the body immediately, vaccination against corruption next month. Get ready”, Kamal Haasan tweeted in Tamil.

Kamal Haasan is an Indian film actor, director, playback singer, screenwriter, lyricist, and producer who usually works for Tamil cinema. He has won numerous film awards, among them, he got three National Film Awards and nineteen Filmfare Awards. He has his production company named Rajkamal International that has delivered his various films. After completing a few projects as a child artist, his breakthrough as a lead actor that came in the 1975 drama Apoorva Raagangal in which he acted like a rebellious youth who falls in love with an aged woman. He also made his debut movie in a minor role in 1973 with Arangetram movie.

He played a role in movies like Moondram Pirai (1983), in 1987 Nayagan, in 1996 Indian, in 2000 Hey Ram, Virumaandi (2004), Vishwaroopam (2013), Dasavathaaram (2008). He was awarded in 1979 with the Kalaimamani, the Padma Shri in 1990, in 2014 with the Padma Bhushan, and 2016 with the Ordre des Arts et Des Lettres (Chevalier). Apart from this, he has worked in several language movies, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and one Bengali.  His movie Nayakan has been named among 100 all-time best movies of Time Magazine.

In 1978, when he was 24, he got married to dancer Vani Ganapathy. Unfortunately, they divorced 10 years later. In 1988, Kamal and the actress Sarika started living together and got married after the birth of their first child, Shruti Haasan. Their second daughter was born in 1991, and her name is Akshara. But, the couple filed for divorce in 2002 and became final in 2004.

He also hosts a TV reality show named Bigg Boss Tamil based on the Hindi Television show Bigg Boss. The first season of the reality show started broadcasting on 25th June 2017 on the Star Vijay channel. In 2017, he joined politics. He was set to opt for a yatra from Rameswaram on 21st February 2018. Plus, he announced his political party in Madurai on the same day.

Meanwhile, he is expected to start a film shooting named ‘Vikram’ that will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, once the Tamil Nadu elections are finished that will be held on 6th April in a single phase. But still, there is no clarity on when the Ulaganayagan will restart shooting for ‘Indian 2’ directed by Shankar that was stalled because of an accident earlier and then because of lockdown.

Earlier, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Health Minister got the first dose of Covid-19      on Tuesday at Delhi Heart and Lung Institute. He was accompanied by his wife, who also got the shot of the covid-19 vaccine.

Apart from this, the Indian Cricket team’s head coach Ravi Shastri also got the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. And External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar also received the shoot of the covid-19 vaccine. On Wednesday, Kapil Dev also received his first shot of covid-19 at the capital’s Fortis hospital.

In this scenario, most celebrities, politicians, and other people are taking initiative to get their first shot of vaccination. If you are eligible, then you must come forward to protect yourself and others from Coronavirus.
