Famous Bollywood playback singer, Shreya Ghoshal and her husband Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya have announced their first baby arrival with an adorable picture post. This couple shared this news with their fans via social media handles. On Thursday, Shreya shared her picture cradling her baby bump and she looked stunning in a blue outfit. The couple has also declared the name of baby “Shreyaditya”.
Shreya got married to her childhood friend Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya in traditional Bengali wedding rituals in 5th February, 2015. The couple tied the knot after the courtship of almost a decade.
Her husband Shiladitya posted “Cannot wait to cherish this bundle of excitement coming up in our lives and a whole new experience to share with @shreyaghoshal ・・・Baby #Shreyaditya is on its way! @shiladitya and me are thrilled to share this news with you all. Need all your love and blessings as we prepare ourselves for this new chapter in our lives.”
She was initially trained by her mother. She even started learning music at the age of 4. Later on, she began her formal study of Hindustani Classical music in the town of Kota. She got training in playback singing from
Shreya attained much popularity for her work in the film “Devdas” 2002, for this she got National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer. She sang Dola Re Dola, Morey Piya, Chalak Chalak, Bairi Piy, Silsila ye Chahat Ka in the film.
She also won Filmfare Award for Best Female PlayBack Singer and Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent for her tracks.
Shreya won “All India Light Vocal Music Competition” organized by Sangam Kala Group in New Delhi.
Apart from being a playback singer, Shreya has also appeared as a judge on different television reality shows. The reality shows for which she did judgement are- Voice of India- Chhote Ustad, Indian Idol Junior, and Music Ka Maha Muqqabla. She can also be seen in music videos. She gives her remarkable performances in musical concerts around the world. Another feather in her cap is, she has been honoured by the United States, state of Ohio. In this the Governor, Ted Strickland announced 26th June 2010 as “Shreya Ghoshal Day”. She was also honoured in London by the selected members of House of Commons of the United Kingdom. In Forbes List of top 100 celebrities from India, she has featured five times. She became the first Indian singer to have her wax statue in Madame Tussauds Museum in 2017.
She has sung songs in distinct languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam.
Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya, an electronics engineer, was born on 3rd October 1983 in Mumbai Maharashtra, India. He did his schooling in Atomic Energy Junior School, Mumbai , Maharashtra and did graduation in Ramrao Adik Institute of know-how (RAIT), college of Mumbai. Shiladitya has initiated his private companies such as Pointshelf, he has founded this agency, it is a local mobile-based loyalty and payment platform for small and medium businesses. he is also a co-founder of HipCask and Rasilant Utilized sciences Pvt Ltd.
Shreya and Shiladitya had been university mates; they know each other as when Shreya grew to turn out to be the famous singer.
The wedding of Shreya Ghoshal with Shiladitya was a low-key affair. Their friends from the industry came to know only after the ceremony got over. The wedding was a quiet and traditional affair that took most of the industry members by surprise. Although the couple were dating for a long time, Bairi Piya singer chose to keep the wedding a hush-hush event. Shreya announced her wedding on social media one day after the event. She is quite active on social media, Instagram, she shares photos from her shoots, from new song releases as well.
The couple had followed Bengali wedding rituals with ghorano, subho drishti, and sindoor daan. Their marriage was held on Bandra 5-star resort.
The singer, Shreya was looking elegant in a red Banarasi and gold jewellery while groom was ported the usual dhoti-punjabi. At that time also Shreya tweeted her wedding picture on the morning of 6th, with the caption, “Married the love of my life @shiladitya last night surrounded by our families n close frnds, exciting new life awaits.”
